Download from the project
Open GitHub Releases for Droid-Deck/DroidDeck and select the APK attached to the latest application release.
Install the Linux runtime
Open DroidDeck and complete the in-app runtime installation.
Turn off Restrict child processes
Use Android Developer options. If the toggle is missing, follow the app’s “Fix it for me” wireless ADB pairing flow.
Press Play and sign in
The Steam client downloads itself on first launch. Sign in to your Steam account when prompted.
Check the file’s origin
The official README says the project has no stand-alone website. Use the Releases page under the exact GitHub organisation and repository: Droid-Deck/DroidDeck.
- Check the address before selecting an APK.
- Use the release’s own APK attachment, rather than a re-upload from a download site.
- Avoid installers that ask you to download unrelated apps or pay for the free project.
- If comparing a SHA-256 checksum, use the digest or checksum file attached to that same official release.

Where should I download the DroidDeck APK?
Download it from https://github.com/Droid-Deck/DroidDeck/releases. This guide links to the official GitHub Releases page and never hosts or mirrors an APK.
Do I need to root my phone?
No root is required. You must complete the documented setup, including turning OFF Restrict child processes before Steam launches.
Does DroidDeck cost money?
DroidDeck is free and open-source under GPL-3.0. Games and services can have their own purchase or licence requirements.
