v0.4.0Latest release
From the project’s official release notes:
- Replaced LXQt with SteamOS-style KDE Plasma 6.7, including the familiar desktop layout, Dolphin, Firefox, Konsole, the Steam desktop client and Return to Gaming Mode.
- Added GOG, Epic Games and Amazon Games integration with account sign-in, game libraries, downloads and launching through Steam. GOG and Epic games also support cloud saves.
- Added Steam's native touch controller (beta), with per-game Steam Input layouts, community configurations, an on-screen layout editor and Steam Cloud syncing.
- Added multi-controller support for up to 4 players, allowing connected Android gamepads to work independently for local co-op and split-screen multiplayer through Steam Input.
- Added Bluetooth LE Steam Controller (2025) support, including trackpads, back grips and motion controls.
- The built-in controller can now emulate a Steam Deck, Steam Controller, Xbox 360, DualShock 4 or DualSense, with live switching from the session menu without restarting Steam.
v0.3.2
From the project’s official release notes:
- Added Keep downloads running toggle, so Steam downloads can continue when Android sleeps.
- Added Native Steam sleep with dynamic cloud save and wake movie support.
- Added Adreno 6xx support, including Adreno 650 (eg: Retroid Pocket 5).
- SD cards and external drives can now be used as full Steam libraries.
- Added per-game Windows components with automatic dependency recommendations for Steam and non Steam games.
- Added XNA, PhysX, Games for Windows Live, MSXML and other Windows components without needing to run their original installers.
v0.3.1
From the project’s official release notes:
- Decky plugins can be imported from ZIP files, with remote binaries verified and installed copies of the same plugin replaced.
- Steam's Internet page shows Android Wi-Fi and cellular connections. Optional Wi-Fi discovery adds network names and nearby networks with Android's Location permission.
- Paste text from the Android clipboard into Steam sessions.
- The Proton selected in Components stays in sync with Steam's default compatibility tool, and runnable builds are marked Compatible. Windows titles with a Valve recommendation use that default unless you choose another compatible tool for the game.
- Choose esync, fsync, experimental ntsync, or wineserver for Proton games. These sync options work around Android's missing kernel support, with esync as the default for fresh installs and existing choices preserved.
- droiddeck-esync packs are matched to the exact Valve, GE-Proton or CachyOS Proton build and fetched automatically. droiddeck-fsync stands in when a pack is not available.
v0.3.0
From the project’s official release notes:
- Steam's startup down from about 31 s to about 6 s, so Offline mode works
- Deck mode on for everyone, moved once on update, always on the Steam Deck client branch so Steam stops offering a downgrade
- Steam's performance overlay (MangoHud), levels 1–4, with Adreno GPU, CPU, VRAM and temperature stats, and a switch to turn it off
- The overlay keeps running and filled in under an enforcing SELinux policy, as on retail phones
- Games keep running behind the Quick Access Menu and the Steam menu
- A game that minimized itself behind the Steam menu comes back on Resume
v0.2.0
From the project’s official release notes:
- Native ARM64 Steam client under gamescope, on DroidDeck's own Vulkan compositor
- Valve's ARM64 Proton and FEX, ready at first sign-in
- Start offline after one sign-in
- Steam Deck mode: battery and NIS in Quick Access, MangoHud overlay
- Games from your own folders appear in Steam, with store art
- Components manager for FEX, DXVK and VKD3D-Proton, applied on every launch
