Step by step
Enable Developer options
Find Build number in Android Settings and tap it seven times. Open Developer options once Android confirms it is enabled.
Check the child-process toggle
Find Restrict child processes and turn it OFF. If the option exists, return to DroidDeck and continue setup.
Start the fallback if the toggle is missing
Select Fix it for me in DroidDeck and open Android Wireless debugging when the app requests it.
Pair and apply
Choose pairing with a code. Enter Android's pairing address and code in DroidDeck. If automatic connection discovery fails, enter the connection address from the main Wireless debugging screen, then follow the app to apply the setting.
Find Build number
Android documents enabling Developer options by tapping Build number seven times. The location varies: it is usually under About phone, while Samsung places it under About phone → Software information.
After Android confirms Developer options is enabled, return to Settings and open that menu. Use Settings search if the manufacturer places it elsewhere.
Prefer the visible toggle
If Restrict child processes is available, turn it OFF and return to DroidDeck. You do not need to pair wireless ADB simply to change a visible toggle.
Pair through Fix it for me
When the toggle is missing, start Fix it for me in DroidDeck. In Android's Wireless debugging screen, choose pairing with a pairing code. Enter the displayed pairing address and code in the app.
DroidDeck attempts to find the connection port after pairing. If it asks for a connection address, use the address shown on the main Wireless debugging screen. It can differ from the pairing address. Keep pairing codes private.
