Step by step
Identify the GPU
Find the exact Adreno, Mali, Xclipse, or PowerVR model in your device specifications and compare it with the official support rules.
Confirm the graphics API
Check the game's own settings or documentation to establish whether it is using DirectX 12.
Try the game's documented DirectX 11 mode
Only if the game offers a documented DirectX 11 option, try that option. Adreno 6xx remains experimental even when DirectX 11 is available.
Record and report the crash
Collect Share logs and report the exact game, GPU, graphics API, DroidDeck version, and selected driver to project support.
Symptom: Steam works, but a DirectX 12 game crashes
Being able to open Steam is different from being able to run a particular game. Identify your GPU and the game's selected graphics API before changing drivers or runtime settings.
Cause: experimental graphics support
The official README explicitly warns that DirectX 12 games can still crash on Adreno 6xx. DirectX 11 through DXVK 2 may run on that experimental hardware, but the statement is not a guarantee for any individual game.
Mali, Xclipse, PowerVR, and Adreno 710 are unsupported. A graphics preset does not change that verdict.
Fix: use a supported option when the game provides one
If the game's own documentation provides a DirectX 11 mode, try that supported game option and record whether the result changes. Do not assume a universal launch argument exists.
On a supported GPU, collect the game's name, graphics API, selected driver, app version, device model, and Share logs. Recommended per-game settings remain not yet tested here until a credible report supports them.
